Patty's Players Volume 8

FOOTBALL IS BACK BABY.

Life long Saints fan, and with the big day today I’d like to call attention to yet another L for the city of Atlanta. Seriously, how do you blow yet ANOTHER fourth quarter lead? New year….same results. On top of that, while I do not condone fan violence in any aspect, not only did the Falcons take an L on the field, their fans took and L in the concourse as well.

This game was ROUGH. The Saints started the first three quarters looking like they had no idea that the Falcons were supposed to be one of the worst teams in the league, or that they have one of the most talented teams in the NFL.

It would be SUPER EASY to select my first TWO TIME, (two time) player of the week, Jameis Winston.

Seriously did he sneak some of Michael's secret stuff when he hit the injury tent?

No in all seriousness This weeks player of the week isn’t going to be a saints player, because lets face it, eventually Ill be labeled a homer if we keep going that route.

No this week, it’s a man amongst boys. This week it’s the most disrespectly physical quarterback to ever play the game, and my MVP prediction for the season, JOSH ALLEN.

Heres Exhibit A:

Need I say any more?

On top of this ridiculous show of manliness, Josh Allen also went for 297 yards and 3 tuddies against the defending Super Bowl Champs. Super he had two INT's, but we all saw those. At some point the WR needs to be credited with the turnover.

There you have it. Patty's Player of the week, volume 8: Josh "get these hands" Allen.

A quick share helps us a lot!

Team Stats (Trail Blazers at Pelicans) Final Score: 120-143 Rebounds: 419-57 Assists: 27-36 Blocks: 7-8 Steals: 5-10 Turnovers: 15-8 Stat Leaders Scoring Leaders: Shaedon Sharpe, 21; Trey Murphy III, 24 Rebound Leaders: Kris Murray, 9; Yves Missi, Saddiq Bey, 8 Assist Leaders: Deni Avdija, 6; Derik Queen, 7 My Player of the Game: Derik Queen Chrissy's Key Takeaways * The Pelicans have won their fourth game of the season. Yay ! * Jordan Poole was back tonight and he made a world of difference. His three-point shooting, confidence, and leadership were a ton of help. * Derik Queen is a problem for all other 29 teams in this league. This kid has a vision that hasn't been seen in any recent rookies, especially for a center. * Bryce McGowens was the second-leading scorer in this game with 23 points. He's stepped up in a big way. * In surprising news, Zion Williamson is questionable for Sunday's game at the Chicago Bulls. This is the first time in what seems like years that Zion's health is actually improving much sooner than projected. Whether this is a sign of Zion pushing himself or James Borrego pushing him, it's nice to see. Follow @TheKneaux on X, and follow me there too, @SportsChrissy.
