• Brandon Ingram hit the game-winning shot with 4.9 seconds to go. Having a Pelicans players knock down a clutch shot in the fourth quarter is something that's nice to see after last season's struggles to close games.
• On the final defensive possession for the Pelicans, Herb Jones blocked the final shot and then Zion Williamson blocked it again after that. The desire to play tough defense under Willie Green seems to be a growing strength for New Orleans.
• Without PG Dejounte Murray, there was a difference in the way the offense was run, but the Pels were still able to get the win.
• Jordan Hawkins put in WORK this offseason, and it is paying off this season so far. He looks like he's in even better shape, is more confident on the court, and is KNOCKING DOWN SHOTS.
