My name is Garrison Giddens, and I’m a passionate basketball writer and a lifelong fan of New Orleans hoops, born and raised in Texas but glued to the New Orleans sports scene through my family ties.

My writing covers both the nuances of Pelicans basketball from a deep-dive X’s-and-O’s standpoint and a fan’s emotional perspective on the organization's current happenings.

I grew up on the golden age of Chris Paul-led teams and classic Hornets jerseys and have stuck with the team ever since, even through the periodic messes.

My passion for basketball has been constant, and over the last year, I’ve devoted myself to blogging about the New Orleans Pelicans and the NBA at large, sharing opinions both longstanding and new as I analyze games closely.

My aim is to be a voice of the fanbase and to analyze on-court play to the best of my ability while learning, little by little, the complex details of NBA basketball.

Outside writing, I work in real estate and will marry my college sweetheart in less than five months. I enjoy pickup basketball, tennis, cooking family recipes, and the beach. My favorite Po-Boy spot in the 504 is Domilise's, and my go-to sno-ball order is a nectar with Cajun-goo.
