Let the Festivities Begin

The 4th of July has come and past. It now seems we are at midway point to summer. School will be starting soon and football will be here taking over our Sundays. There is still exciting things to look forward this Summer with baseball being the center of it all. MLB All Star Break break is always an exciting time for baseball fans. This years festivities will take place in Seattle and there is a lot to look forward to.

Dingers Only

The home run derby is being played on monday 8 pm et on espn.

First up is the Home Run Derby. This event is always a fan favorite, and watching this athletes crush balls at a rapid rate. This year's lineup is stacked with some of the league's best power hitters. Rangers' fans are excited about the late addition of Adolis Garcia to the tournament. Expect to see some massive home runs and plenty of excitement as players compete for might be the most awesome award to have in your case:

Its tough to say who will win due to being so many talented players in the Derby. I think Adolis Garcia has a shot at taking this thing home. Garcia has 23 HR on the year and hopes to bring his power to make a run to the Finals. Of course, anything can happen in the Home Run Derby!

Draft Day

Two baseball players are posing for a picture on a field.

The MLB Draft will take place this Sunday, July 9th & it looks like the first two picks will be Paul Skenes and Dylan Crews. Both are highly touted prospects, so it's hard to say who the Pittsburgh Pirates will draft with the number 1 pick. Ultimately it will come down to the team's needs and which player the believe with have the most success at the major league level.

The Stars Align

A group of baseball players are posing for a picture.

Next up is the All- Star Game itself. This is a chance for the best players in the league to face off, showcase their skills, and see a great performance from everyone.  There are a few teams that have multiple players on the roster. Braves (8), Rangers (6), and Dodgers (5) have the most players on the rosters. These teams hope that the talent on the roster will translate for post season success at the end of the season.

Overall, MLB All-Star Break is a can't miss event even for the casual fan. There's something for everyone throughout the weekend. Let the stars shine bright in Seattle!
