Northshore Prep Report Showcase Camp Delivers:
90+ Prospects Shine in High-Energy Football Prospect Camp on the North Shore
By Patrick Harkness (@RollDatWave / @beinthekneaux)
The North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain came alive with football talent on Sunday, May 3, 2026, as the Northshore Prep Report Camp took over Lakeshore High School.
Organized by Northshore Prep Report in partnership with Varsity Mgmt LLC and No.2 Sports Performance, the camp drew more than 90 players from the 2027–2030 classes, along with 10 coaches elevating the next wave of Louisiana (and beyond) standouts.
Camp Director Craig Brodie deserves high marks for the smooth operation, with players receiving recruiting profiles, camp shirts, and valuable reps in position-specific drills.
Special guests included Kentucky Wildcats WR legend Dicky Lyons and Northshore Prep founder Michael MacMillan who organized it all. The atmosphere was electric, full of competition, coaching, and connections.
I was on site for Be in the Kneaux and for scouting, for my Tulane Green Wave Season Preview: Pats Deep Dive Recruiting.
Overall, it was a great camp, very well run and a great staff! I would definitely recommend going to this camp in the future if you have a kid who’s trying to get recognized, they got something cooking! Great people, coaches and players.
Standout Prospects and Highlights:
The camp focused on skill positions and secondary play, with Height and Weight check ins, 40-yard dashes, broad jump, shuttle drill, route running, coverage drills, and quarterback sessions stealing the show.
Here are some of the top performers who turned heads:
• CJ De Leon, Class of 2027 WR (Dunham School / Baton Rouge, LA – 5-11, 160)
Explosive off the line, crisp route running, sharp cuts, and the ability to high-point the ball. In High School games De Leon showed reliable hands, strong catch radius, and big-play ability after the catch. A multi-sport athlete (basketball/track) with dance-trained body control, he’s an under-the-radar Power 5/G5 prospect coming off a state championship season.
• Dylan Henry, Class of 2027 DB (Mandeville, LA – 5-11, 170)
A lockdown corner who mirrored receivers tightly and broke on the ball with natural instincts. In High School he is physical in run support and versatile enough to play nickel, outside, or free safety. Already holding multiple D1 offers (South Alabama, Oregon State, UCF, Old Dominion), Henry is a First-Team All-District 6-5A talent and teammate of fellow standout Krew Collura.
• Delwin Perkins Jr., Class of 2027 DB (McComb, MS – 5-10, 170)
A ball-hawk extraordinaire with a history of interceptions (6 as a sophomore, 4 as a junior) and elite timing. Perkins played physical press coverage at the line, showed hip fluidity in man, and brought aggression in run support. The Mississippi 4A First-Team All-State DB (and cousin of DeVonta Smith) has Power 4/G5 interest and 4.0 GPA pedigree.
• Krew Collura, Class of 2029 QB (Mandeville, LA – 6-0, 185)
The young gun with sky-high potential. The lefty freshman starter put up monster numbers (2,373 pass yards, 23 TDs, 64% completion + 629 rush yards and 6 TDs) and flashed a clean release, velocity on deep balls, touch on seams, and elusiveness as a runner. Already holding a Syracuse offer, Collura’s poise, football IQ, and leadership scream “rising Power 4 prospect.”
* Ethan Kimmie, Class of 27 WR (Baton Rouge, LA - 6-4, 195) Dynamic, high-upside WR who dominated his junior year with 950 yards and 12 touchdowns. Explosive athlete with quick and sudden release. Ethan has reliable hands with a big catch radius and can go up and get the football. Already showing size, athleticism, and production to be a boundary X or redzone threat.
• Da’John Howard, Class of 2027 QB/ATH
Showed flashes in the quarterback drills, adding another layer of athleticism to the camp’s skill-position talent pool. In High School he is a dual threat guy who can punish you with his speed. Shows toughness, burst, vision and elusiveness as a runner. As a passer Howard has a live arm and good velocity. With his 4.44 forty on Hudl I could see Da"John as a WR or DB at the next level. 1,900 passing yards, 16 tds, led Salmen to a District 7-5A Championship. Rising Recruit.
Additional buzz surrounded Fontainebleau’s Sheldon Asmore, who blazed a 4.47 forty, turning heads in the speed testing.
