Can the Saints win again?

Saints vs Panthers Recent History

With the Saints and Panthers playing just five weeks ago, not much has changed between these two franchises, aside from New Orleans' lead extending to 4 wins. So, let's look at the recent history instead, specifically the past two years. Back in 2023, the Panthers finished with 2 wins, but have steadily improved since. In 2024, they had 5 total wins; now, in 2025, they are entering week 15 with 7. For the Saints, it has been the opposite. In 2023, New Orleans ended with 9 wins and nearly made the playoffs, but in 2024, as many of us know, they finished the season with only 5 wins. Currently, the Saints are at 3 wins on the season, but there is still a chance they can exceed their 2024 win total.

The 2025 Season

Since the Saints' big win over the Panthers in week 10, a bit has changed for both sides. Starting with Carolina, the gap between them and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the top of the division has completely disappeared, and now, the Panthers are at the top. Now, depending on what happens on Sunday, the Panthers may lose this spot and drop back to second, but the fact that they are even in this race is surprising. For the Saints, QB Tyler Shough is having impressive performances each week, despite some of the games ending in losses. This is exactly what New Orleans needed to see from their rookie QB, especially with their draft pick being as high as it is in 2026.

Final Thoughts

The Saints have a chance not just to create their first win streak of the season, but also to hurt their division rival's playoff hopes. It will be a competitive game, but once again, it could come down to what happens on offense for the Saints.
