New Orleans Saints vs Atlanta Falcons 2025 Week 18 Preview
The final game of the season is here!
Saints vs Falcons History
After their last matchup earlier in the season, the Atlanta Falcons took the overall lead over the Saints. Out of their 113 games against each other, the Falcons have won 57, and the Saints have 56 victories. This is one of the best rivalries in the NFL, and given how close the series stands, it would only be right if the Saints win and tie it up again. To emphasize again how close this matchup is, if New Orleans wins on Sunday, both teams will be tied for last in the NFC South.
The 2025/26 Season
For two teams eliminated from the playoffs, there are some high stakes in this game. If the Buccaneers win on Saturday, then they need the Saints to win on Sunday to make the playoffs. Also, New Orleans could finish second in the NFC South if the Panthers win and the Saints win, and the Falcons could fire their head coach if they lose. Looking at the Saints' roster, they also have a chance to get their QB, Tyler Shough, a ROTY Award with a win here. Yes, Shough would have to play well, but with all the injuries he is dealing with, a decent performance could get it done.

Final Thoughts
This game will be unbelievably challenging for the Saints to win, given the number of injuries they have and the defense they are facing. Still, given how much momentum this team has, it's possible they can get it done. A first season of a rebuild that results in the team getting second place, 7 wins, and a potential franchise QB and HC is a homerun.
A quick share helps us a lot!
