Takeaways

• The starting five was Fears, Murray, Missi, Murphy, and Williamson. Loved that starting 5.
• The Pelicans played harder than they did all last season.
• The Pelicans held a 92-86 lead heading into the final frame and even built an eight-point cushion (101-93) midway through the quarter, and then blew the game down the stretch, which is something that happened to them last season a lot.
• The Pelicans (0-1) will play the Utah Jazz on Friday, Oct. 23 on the road.
