He...Is...INEVITABLE

1100 Days Ago... July 5th , 2019. The first glimpse of Zion. The Start of NBA Summer League for the Pelicans in 2019.

The day the earth shook. This was the day Pelicans fans looked forward to all offseason, it

was Zion Williamson’s first NBA game, summer league of course. This game is memorable for many

reasons. Was it the thunderous dunk, and subsequent flex following the son’ing of Kevin Knox? Did this

cause the earth to the rumble, ending Zion’s first game prematurely? The world may never know. What

we did know, however, coming out of this game, was that ZION WAS HERE BABY!

Zion announced his presence to the league like Thanos on a quest to find all 6 infinity stones. He was

here to do one thing, dominate. This continued more-so in his first actual NBA game, doing so on a

minute restriction at that. You could simply feel his presence in the 4 th quarter, scoring 17 points on 6-8

from the field, 4-4 from the 3-point line. This kid/man/beast was special.

Following two years of the front office protecting their ASSets, quietly assembling a scrappy deep roster,

and finding perhaps the best young coach on the market, the league seems to have forgotten who Zion

Williamson is. The national media has warped the discussion around whether he’s healthy. Talking

heads have tried to pry him away from the team at every cost, and the consensus around fans that do

not follow the Pelicans is simply that he’s lazy, injury prone, and fat. We overlook the 25.7 point per

game average, we overlook the 60% career field goal percentage. We overlook, Zion. Even local media in

attempt to get clicks makes fun of his weight.

There’s one small problem with all of this. Zion Williamson has re-signed with the Pelicans. Zion

Williamson no longer has restrictions. Zion Williamson now plays with one of the best young rosters in

the NBA, and a coach that would make anyone run through a brick wall.

The simplest way to say this is, ….. HE…IS….INEVITABLE……and the NBA is in trouble.

When: Saturday, September 13th, 2025, 6:30 PM Where: The Real Death Valley, Baton Rouge, LA Channel: ABC Spread: LSU -7.5 O/U: 46.5 This will be the 72nd time these schools meet up in this storied rivalry. This game always has a story, a moment to remember, so be ready, football fans! Florida Gators The Gators enter this contest with a record of 1-1. Florida opened up the season with a 55-0 win over Long Island University, but the Gators dropped a game last week to a talented South Florida team. This Gator offense is led by quarterback DJ Lagway. LSU fans remember Lagway all too well from last season. On the season, Lagway is 38/51, with 342 passing yards and 4 TDs. Jadan Baugh is the leader in the backfield. The leading pass catchers on this team are Vernell Brown III, Eugene Wilson III, and Hayden Hansen. The Gator defense is a solid unit. Jaden Robinson and Myles Graham are the leading linebackers. Tyreak Sapp is the leader on the defensive line. LSU Tigers The Tigers are coming off of a "disappointing" victory against Louisiana Tech. The Tigers have a chance to bury the Gators' dreams for the season in this game. This game being in Death Valley helps out the Tigers tremendously. The Tigers better be ready to get on the Gators early and often because this is an upset Gator team with a big upset on the mind. KEYS TO THE GAME - Can the Tigers establish a running game? The leaders on this team need to get up. - Will the Tigers' defense keep up the red-hot start to the season? - Will Braelin Moore be back on the field? This is a mad Florida team who would love to upset the Tigers in this rivalry. Can the Tigers contain DJ Lagway? Fun Fact: Florida running back coach Jabar Juluke was born in New Orleans. He was the running back coach at LSU in 2016. Thank you for checking out my article. Follow me on X (the artist formerly known as Twitter) @eazytro
