He is a multi-sport athlete who also competes in track and field, qualifying for the Louisiana 5A regional in shot put as a junior. George committed to Tulane on December 31, 2024, becoming the Green Wave’s first commit in the 2026 class, choosing them over offers from Arkansas State, Georgia State, Louisiana, Memphis, Temple, Texas State, and Troy.
He has demonstrated consistent development, earning Louisiana Football Coaches Association 5A first-team all-state honors as a junior. George projects as an offensive guard at the college level, with the potential to play tackle if needed, leveraging his size and strength in a power-run scheme.

Physically, Simpson moves well for a big-bodied TE, with good straight-line speed and the ability to accelerate after the catch.
His frame suggests he could bulk up to 245-255 lbs in college, enhancing his blocking prowess while maintaining receiving upside. Camp performances indicate above-average agility and body control.

Hill specifically picked Tulane for this: “Coach Hall said he plans on throwing the ball way more this year than any other year. I like that plan and I am ready to go forward with it.” Hall has raved about his potential: “Really high. At the least, a two-story building.
